The members or advisors listed here have been nominated for the steering committee so far. They will be asked if they are ready to candidate until the 02/11/01.
The following information is sent to the candidating members by Dr. Eva Oberlander (election committee):
Dear ...
you have been nominated by members from the community as candidate for a preliminary ESPERE steering committee.
Important tasks of this committee will
1) The development of statutes
2) The discussion of the basis for a future application for funding
3) The intergration of ESPERE as an outreach programme under the umbrella of international research projects.
4) The discussion of future management strategies and the building up of contacts to the educational systems in the respective countries.
For this committee both the experience of advising senior scientists and the motivation of the younger generation is welcome.
If you are ready to candidate, please submit a short description of yourself and your work (not more than ten lines, written in Word, font 12, or on a text-editor) and if available a photo (jpg or gif format) of yourself. You may refer to your homepage if the respective description is available in the net.
Moreover a short statement (not more than 5 lines) about your ideas and goals concerning the project ESPERE and your possibilities to contribute would be welcome.
Your introduction will be published in the section “election” <<http://www.espere.net/News/election.html>> of the ESPERE website.
In order to submit the material, please reply to this address (eao@mpch-mainz.mpg.de) not later than the 16/11/01.
The election will start the 20/11/01.

The following polling card will be sent to everybody who is entitled to vote for the ESPERE steering committee by Dr. Nicolai Lehnert. The polling card includes the procedure of the election:

b) Please list the names of all candidates, you would like to choose for the steering committee. Please list every name only one time and do not list more names than the maximum number of members, that can be elected. You will be informed about this number. Choose the candidates from the list that is published in the news-section of the ESPERE site. The list will also be sent personally to you after the 15/11/2001.
