An Educational Network on Climate ESPERE-ENC (here we give an overview of the frame) is planned in 2003 and 2004 as project of the European Commission. It will be developed on a separate server accessible via www.espere.net.
The climate system should be explained in 24-32 small teaching units, appropriate for the integration in science teaching. 8 thematic fields will give an overview of the current scientific knowledge in 7 languages. Worksheets and experiments will be developed by educationists, co-operating with the ESPERE community.

The Ozone Project will be developed stepwise in 2002 and 2003 depending on local support. In background texts and teaching material the importance of ozone in the troposphere and the stratosphere will be explained. The contents will be appropriate to get a deeper insight in ozone chemistry during several weeks lessons. The Ozone Project is a co-operation of the University of Duisburg (teaching material in German), Lehrer-online (financial support for teaching units) and ESPERE (background material provided on a voluntary basis).

The Water Project was the first ESPERE pilot project. In its first part the relevance of water in the atmosphere is explained - water as greenhouse gas, cloud formation and the role of ice crystels for the antarctic ozone depletion. The realisation was possible thanks to the voluntary work of many ESPERE members and an excellent co-operation with our partner school in Velbert. A second part on oceans and ice and a translation into further languages is envisioned.
